Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Her move to Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and earned an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The first non-English student to graduate, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Her popularity as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice-portal that provided an honest assessment of the current politics. She was able to get several prominent contributors who posted their views on culture and politics. Arianna became famous during 2003 when she volunteered in the California recall election in the place of Governor Davis. Apart from this she also directed a Detroit initiative to encourage vehicles that are fuel efficient. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as The most influential women in media gaining 12th position in the list and in the same year the Guardian included her in the top 100 of media lists. AOL Inc. appointed her President of their media group in 2011, after they bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included additional AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos the journalist and management consultant. She was extremely close to her father. But it was the relationship she had with her mother which formed her. As a child she displayed leadership qualities that she still is known for. As a 16-year-old the girl moved in England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she joined the debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972, she earned a degree in Economics. She became a writer, a critic television host, and columnist upon her graduation. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also notable. Her first novel was written. books, taking his help in editing.
