Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an author of a number of novels. Arianna Huffington, an independent Liberal news site is a popular TV show host, author, and charitable donor. She was born in Greece and immigrated to England at the age of 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was voted president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her name as an independent syndicated columnist, as well as with the launch of The Huffington Post' few months later, she created a voice-based website that provided critical views about the current political climate. Arianna was able to attract several notable contributors to post their views on culture and political issues. Arianna gained fame after she announced in 2003 that she would contest as an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election, to succeed Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of a Detroit project that promoted vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes listed her as the 12th-highest ranked woman on the planet in 2009 and Guardian has also placed her on the Top 100 List of Media at the time. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her the head of that media unit, which comprised of many at the time-operating AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant and journalist. Though she was close to her father, it was her bond with her mother which shaped her entire life. While in her formative years, she exhibited abilities to lead, and for this are still in high demand. at the age of 16 she moved to United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating organization Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. In 1972, she earned an advanced degree in Economics. The years that followed after graduation she was a TV host and columnist. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She started writing books, taking his help in editing.
