Lucy Liu was born in the US. She is an American singer, actress as well as a voice actress. She's a beautiful, talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. Her early success was boosted through her participation in several popular television series. She played the evil Ling Woo. Following her fame, she got significant roles for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The actress also gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. While she was in the film she was a leading lady in flops of the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter were also prominent. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters in animated films such as Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role as a character in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't bring about the results. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an established actress. Liu chooses her roles carefully to prevent being stereotyped in an industry which is extremely competitive. As much as she loves her culture however, this has not hindered her in her work as an artist.
